Student Life

Day in the Life of a Solstice East Student

One of the things that sets Solstice East apart from other residential treatment centers is that we take advantage of the therapeutic setting by offering opportunities for our students to solve problems together. As one of the top mental health treatment centers, our staff and students work hard to create and maintain a warm, welcoming, supportive community. We give our students ownership and accountability for working through challenges and relationships and use our Group Therapy to explore and grow the community.

We're Here to Help

Reach out to our admissions team for more details on our program.

Throughout each day, students participate in a variety of activities throughout each day that contribute their healing process.  These include:

Academics

Students attend school in a traditional classroom environment each day throughout the week. Our accredited academic programming is fully integrated with clinical programming and helps students build confidence in their academic abilities.

Health and Fitness

Each day, students take part in physical activities such as Yoga, daily aerobic workouts, and Pilates. Being physically active can reduce stress. Part of a holistic approach to health includes identifying how our physical health affects our mental health.

Adventure Therapy

Students participate in a number of experiential activities on and off campus that help them develop strong, positive identities. These activities can range from going to see a movie at the local theatre to rock climbing to overnight camping trips.

Service Activities

Twice a month, students take part in volunteer activities where they give back to the local community in venues such as animal shelters, nursing homes, and food banks.
