Alana Howard, RN
In July of 2015, Solstice East welcomed Alana Howard to their team as a their new Registered Nurse. Because Alana has always found joy in helping others, she has always known that she has wanted to become a nurse. Prior to working at Solstice East and AAG, Alana worked in a local hospital on the Nursing Resource team which means that she was a solid role player filling in wherever the hospital needed whether that was in the ER, or in general care. Her favorite part of working at Solstice East is being able to meet so many amazing staff and young girls that she can help. When she isn’t at work, Alana can be found swimming, reading, or playing video games and her favorite book is 1984, by George Orwell. This philosophy views each and every person as uniquely capable of making a difference in their own health. She believes achieving a healthy body and a healthy relationship with food does not come from setting strict rules or guidelines regarding eating. Rather, health is achieved when one is able to coexist with food and mindfully recognize its role in providing nourishment and enjoyment. Traci believes her role as a dietitian is to assist people in finding this balanced approach to food, eating, and overall health and well-being.
