SOLSTICE EAST History Teacher
This full-time History Teacher will facilitate classes in US History and Modern World History. The position is for a year-round high school with small class sizes and a college preparatory curriculum. Experience with alternative settings and/or learning disabilities a plus. Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree and/or NC licensure in secondary science strongly preferred.
SOLSTICE EAST Mathematics Teacher
This full-time teaching position will facilitate classes in Calculus, Pre Discrete Mathematics and Algebra 2. The position is for a year-round high school with small class sizes and a college preparatory curriculum. Experience with alternative settings and/or learning disabilities a plus. Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree and/or NC licensure in Mathematics strongly preferred.
OVERNIGHT AWAKE STAFF, Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN
Our overnight staff ensure the provision of physical and emotional safety of our students and residents during the current overnight shift of 4 nights/ week from 10:30pm – 7:00am. The suitable applicant is someone who is a responsible and positive role model.
SOLSTICE EAST Mentor – PRN
The Mentor, or Direct-Care Staff, is often the person who has the greatest impact on the student’s transformation. Mentors are on the frontline, supervising students throughout the day to ensure their safety (one Mentor for every four students) while offering support, feedback, and maintaining healthy relationships with both students and staff. The suitable applicant is someone who is a responsible, has good boundaries and is capable of remaining calm in what can sometimes be an emotionally-intensive environment. Mentors must be able to work a combination of both day (7a-3p) and evening (2:30p-10:30p) shifts. The campus is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. High School diploma required (Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred). Must be at least 21 years old. Experience with youth preferred.
JOURNEY HOME EAST House Parent – PRN
Journey Home East is a transitional home for young women located in downtown Asheville. Our PRN House Parents work a fluctuating schedule based on the needs of the program. Hours and schedules may change based on census and business needs. Suitable applicants are responsible and positive role models who are outgoing and energetic. Our House Parents ensure the provision of physical and emotional safety of our residents at all times. High School diploma required (Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred). Due to the age of our residents, qualified applicants must be at least 25 years old. Experience with youth preferred.
