NATSAP

Solstice East has been recognized by the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), an association that works with programs that have been licensed by the appropriate state agency to set and oversee standards of residential, therapeutic, and/or educational services provided to adolescents. Members of the association must have therapeutic services with oversight by qualified clinicians and share a common mission to provide excellent treatment for our program participants; treatment that is rooted in good-hearted concern for their well-being and growth; respect for them as human beings; and sensitivity to their individual needs and integrity.

Cognia

We partner with Cognia to offer a rigorous academic program that accommodates your child’s specific needs. Cognia provides an explicit set of standards and criteria for accreditation and certification. Meeting and exceeding these academic standards results in a valuable recognition of academic excellence. Teachers at Solstice East have years of professional experience working in different school systems using various hands-on learning strategies.

CARF

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) demonstrates the highest level of care in a residential treatment setting. CARF certification requires programs to undergo a rigorous evaluation process and meet internationally-recognized organizational and program standards.

North Carolina State Board of Education

Solstice East’s school is certified by the State of North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education. Curriculum requirements are based on the State of North Carolina Standard Course of Study, as well as National Core Curriculum standards. Between this and Solstice East’s Cognia accreditation through Cognia, students are able to earn academic credits that will transfer to any school they attend after leaving the program.
