Anne-Marie Farmer

Anne-Marie comes to Solstice East with experience in independent, public, and therapeutic schools in Vermont. Anne-Marie earned her teaching certification in English from the state of Vermont after completing a four-year secondary education program at the University of Vermont. Her background in wilderness therapy has been the foundation for her relational approach throughout her experience as an educator. Her passion for creating engaging, student-centered lesson plans that meet the unique needs of diverse learners has been a guiding principle for her career. She has built her practice around empowering students to find their voice and develop the skills to engage with the world around them through literature. It is this educational philosophy that drew her to working at Solstice East. She is proud to be a part of the teaching staff here and join the greater community. While not in the classroom, Anne-Marie enjoys going on hikes with her dog, Aslan, and spending time with her friends and family.
