Solstice East provides groups specifically designed around the issues our young women face and vary depending on the specific needs of our student population.

While many of these issues are addressed in Individual Therapy, Specialty Groups provide a powerful reinforcement to our students that they are not alone– peers share their stories, fears, struggles, and success together in these groups.  These Specialty Groups, led by licensed clinicians, run weekly for 1.5 hours and continue for 10 – 12 weeks.  At the end of this period new Specialty Groups begin that reflect the current needs of the student population.

Typically, specialty groups include:

  • Equine therapy
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma recovery
  • Healthy relationships
  • Way of being
  • Women’s issues
  • Adoption
  • Addictions
  • Seeking safety
  • Art and music therapy
